Buying a present for a new born baby is always a challenge. It’s likely the parents have already bought or borrowed all the first-size clothes they need, and got all the extra things they need: the cot, pram, changing mat etc. Newborn babies don’t play with toys or eat sweets, so they don’t help. And you don’t know what everyone else is buying, so there’s always the risk you will give something the parents have already received from someone else.

Our birth samplers are a unique and personal way to mark the arrival of a new baby, and a wonderful present for new parents. If you give one of our cheerful and friendly animal samplers it’s unlikely anyone else will give the same thing, or that the parents will already have one like it.
In a few years the child will start to learn the name of the animals, and therefore learn the letters of the alphabet at the same time. It’s a gift that keeps giving.
A very personal gift

We spell out the baby’s name in character letters which will brighten up any bedroom, playroom or nursery. The letters are bright and colourful, and the animal characters that decorate each letter are friendly and cheerful.
The initial letter of the name of the animal matches the letter it is decorating, in most cases. You’ll see T for Tortoise & A for Ant on this page, and J for Jaguar & E for Elephant in Jenna’s sampler above.
The card inside the sampler can record anything you want. We are usually asked to include the baby’s full name, date of birth, and weight. Sometimes we are asked to add the names of the people giving the gift: Grandma and Grandad, perhaps.
The frame style is your choice from our range of over 200, so you are sure to see something you like.
Sampler costs
Samplers cost £29.95 for up to 7 letters. If the child’s name is longer, please contact us.
We are happy to gift wrap the finished sampler and deliver it directly to the parents. Postage and packing is extra, of course, but very reasonable.
